About the event
During this Etna Wine Tasting you will learn why volcanic wines do taste so different and what is so special about the volcanic terroir that vineyards are disease free and stay live and flourish beyond 100 years old.
- we will taste 6 wines made from ungrafted, approx 100 years old vineyards at 700-1000 meters altitude
- only local Etna grapes - Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Capuccio and Carricante
- outstanding wineries, "authors" of Etna's renaissance
The wine pairing - mouthwatering Italian appetizers - are carefully selected and prepared by Al Bacaro, osteria italiana.
Your humble host - as usually, me, a WSET certified wine educator and an indigenous wine & vine connoisseur.
