About the event

Greece and Turkey are some of the most ancient winemaking countries on Earth. Yet we don't know so much about their indigenous (native) grapes, their wine styles, wine regions and signature wineries. We have an ambition to change this, so you'll leave the event not only having tasted wonderful wines, but becoming a somewhat expert on Greek and Turkish winemaking traditions (and gastronomy!)

During the event we will taste 6 different wines - 3 from Greece and 3 from Turkey. We will have oustanding traditional method sparkling wines, rosés, sharp and mineral whites, as well as orange wines, and, of course, a few reds.

This event is part of the Wine & Dine events - our partner is Olivity - an authentic Greek private dinning company in Amsterdam.

You will have two hosts - one to represent each country :)

Henrietta Straton of Terroir Journey is your expert and guide in the world of wines. A WSET wine educator, she organizes wine tours and wine tastings and bringing the most rare and hard to find wines to our events in the Netherlands.

Caterina Tzoridou the founder of Olivity - a Greek catering and private dinning company in Amsterdam. She organizes cooking workshops, private dinners and offers catering services to private and business customers.
