Winemaker Dinner - Paşaeli wines with Seyit Karagözoğlu

Tonight we celebrate curiousity! Curiosity for high quality wines, unknown grape varieties, wine regions that are yet to earn worldwide fame, winemakers that challenge clichés and focus on grapes that others didn't believe in. 

For this event we invited Seyit Karagözoğlu, the founder of Paşaeli Wines - a boutique Turkish winery that has been focusing on revival of extinct Turkish grape varieties since their beginning in 2002.  All of their wines are single vineyard, terroir wines, which explains why Paşaeli's vineyards are so spread (between Thrace and Aegean) so that each grape variety can represent its' "homeland".

This event is a part of Winemaker Dinner series. We are going to invite winemakers, winery owners, oenologists - the people from behind the wine labels. A real chance for  you to get first hand insights from people from the field. 

This is a wine and dine event which includes tasting of 7 wines by Paşaeli and a 5-course dinner pairing by Mems Amsterdam.

6. Paşaeli 6N Old Vines 'Wild Fermented' Karasakız, red wine from old Karasakız vines
7. Paşaeli Morso di Sole, dessert wine from Sultaniye grape

The event will take place at Mems Amsterdam a brasserie du Levant in the heart of trendy Pijp. A jazzy, sophisticated place for gathering with loved ones.
